Welcome from the Tri-state wind symphony!

Dear Friends and Colleagues:
If it seems as though the summer is fleeting, it certainly is for the Tri-State Wind Symphony as we prepare to conclude our seventeenth season of concerts at Dubuque's Eagle Point Park.  Patrons familiar with the ensemble already know that our season finale always consists of the players' favorite pieces from the previous performances.  This summer the players have chosen:

  • John Williams/Curnow: Olympic Fanfare and Theme
  • Robert Jager:  Third Suite
  • Percy Aldridge Grainger: Irish Tune from County Derry
  • John Williams/Bullock: Raiders of the Lost Ark Medley
  • John Philip Sousa/Brion & Schissel:The Invincible Eagle
  • Alfred Reed: Rushmore
  • Leroy Anderson/Lang: The Waltzing Cat (for Augie)
  • Andrew Lloyd Webber/Barker:  Selections from Phantom of the Opera
  • Robert W. Smith:  Buffalo Dances

We thank all of our friends and supporters for helping to make this another successful for the band and its members.  I cannot encourage you enough to spread the world to your own friends and neighbors.  We still want to "fill the hill" at the most beautiful concert site in the state of Iowa.
